The 3rd RSG-Türkiye Student Symposium was held on 17 October 2015 in Muğla, as a satellite meeting to HIBIT 2015, which was hosted by Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. Dr. Jörg Menche gave the keynote, on molecular networks in human disease: how proteins linked to the same disease cluster together in the interactome, and what that says about comorbidity and the biological functions of genome-wide association study genes. The day also included a science slam (a short, informal session where attendees introduced themselves and their work) which became a fixture of later symposiums.
ISCB-SC RSG-Türkiye is a student-led, non-profit organization affiliated with the International Society for Computational Biology Student Council (ISCB-SC). Our annual symposiums have been bringing together undergraduate and graduate students since 2012.
